Young Sang Cho

Dr. Young Sang Cho studied chemical engineering at Seoul National University for BS in 1973. He further studied chemical engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, USA for MS in 1979 and D. Sc in 1981. He experienced industrial work at Lummus in New Jersey for 1 year. Then He worked for KIST from 1982 to 2015 as a researcher and became emeritus researcher from 2016 on. He has published about 50 research articles in SCI(E) journals.
Mohamed Gamal El Din

Mohamed Gamal El Din

Dr. Mohamed Gamal El-Din is a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research focuses on the fundamentals of advanced and innovative treatment approaches for water and wastewater (municipal and industrial such as oil and gas). Since 2011, he holds an NSERC Senior Industrial Research Chair (IRC) in Oil Sands Tailings Water Treatment. He is also one of the Theme Leads of the Future Energy Systems (FES) theme on Resilient Reclaimed Land and Water Systems. Because of his contributions in the area of oil sands process water treatment/reclamation, in 2017, Dr. Gamal El-Din received the Alberta Science and Technology Leadership (ASTech) Foundation Award for Innovation in Oil Sands Research. In 2019, he was appointed Jinshan Distinguished Professor at Jiangsu University and in 2020 he was awarded Research Chair in Environmental Engineering, College of Environmental Science and Engineering at Tongji University (China). Recently, Dr. Gamal El-Din was appointed Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Sustainable and Resilient Wastewater Treatment for Reuse. He is also the Director of the Water Research Centre in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta. His research has resulted in 310 refereed journal papers and 397 conference and workshop presentations, among other publications. Currently, He has h-index is 64, with 14,364 citations as per Google Scholar.

Dai Yeun Jeong

Dai Yeun Jeong

Dai-Yeun Jeong is presently the Director of Asia Climate Change Education Center and an Emeritus Professor of Environmental Sociology at Jeju National University in South Korea. He received BA and MA Degree in Sociology from Korea University (South Korea), and PhD in Environmental Sociology from The University of Queensland(Australia). He was a Professor of Sociology at Jeju National University (South Korea) from 1981 to 2012. His past major professional activities include a Teaching Professor at the University of Sheffield in UK, the President of Asia-Pacific Sociological Association, a Delegate of South Korean Government to UNFCCC, a Delegate of South Korean Government to OECD Environmental Meeting, and a Member of Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development, Republic of Korea, etc. Hehas published 60 environment-related research papers in domestic and international journals and 13 books including Environmental Sociology. He has conducted 91 unpublished environment-related research projects funded by domestic and international organizations.

Malek Hassanpour holds his MSc degree in Environmental Health Engineering from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran, and currently works as a Ph.D. at the Department of Environmental Science, Osmania University, India. Malek does research in EIA, Engineering Economics, Decision theory, Waste management, and Plasma technology.
Shimaa Anwer Higazy

Shimaa Anwer Higazy

Dr. Shimaa Anwer Higazy is a researcher at the Petroleum Application Department, Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI), Egypt. She was awarded “Scientists for Next Generation” (SNG) master scholarship for Egyptian young researchers sponsored by Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), in May 2010, and obtained her Master Degree in February 2013 from Chemistry Department of Science Faculty, Menoufiya University, Egypt. She completed her Ph.D. (2019) in Organic Chemistry at the Chemistry Department of Science Faculty, Menoufiya University, Egypt. She took part and attended various domestic and worldwide events and conferences. She participates in a variety of scientific organizations and engages in a variety of activities. She has authored numerous articles in high-impact, international journals. Her major researches interested in designing of eco-friendly, self-cleaning and anticorrosive surfaces for marine coating and received funding for a number of scientific projects in these fields. Furthermore, she has ten years work experience in FTIR spectroscopy field at Chemical Services and Development Center (CSDC) in Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute, Cairo, Egypt. rewrite in better way.
